JUST LIKE ME EVRYONE XPECTD VIRU ND GAUTI TO GET OFF TO A GUD START. THE SPECTATORS WERE IN FOR A DISSAPOIINTMENT AS BOTH D OPENERS FELL CHEAPLY. BUT THEN THE DISSAPOINTMENT WAS ONLY MOMENTARY. IN CAME DILSHAN AND de VILLIERS BOTH OF DEM TREATED THE BOWLERS WITH DISDAIN. ESPECIALLY DILSHAN WAS PRETTY HARSH TOWARDS MANPREET GONY. DILSHAN DEPARTD AFTER MAKIN A FINE 50. FROM THEN ON IT WAS de VILLIERS SHOW ALL THE WAY. HE CRACKED THE FIRST CENTURY OF IPL SEASON 2. FLINTOFF WAS RESERVED FOR A SPECIAL TREATMENT. BALAJI WAS D PICK OF BOWLERS FR CSK WID FIGURE 3/19 IN 4 OVERS. DELHI POSTED A MAMOTH 189 ON BOARD AND LEFT CHENNAI A HUGE MOUNTAIN TO CLIMB.

BUT WHEN D CHNAI OPENERS MARCHD IN THEY HAD A DIFFERENT IDEA. HAYDOS STARTED HIS INNINGS PRETTY WELL AND KEPT IMPROVING AS THE INNINGS PROGREESD. HE MADE SURE THAT CSK WAS ALWAYSS ABOVE THE ASKING RATE. PARTHIV PATEL PLAYED THE IDEAL FOIL. AT ONE STAGE IT LOOKD LIKE CHENNAI MIGHT CREATE RECORD BY CHASING THE TARGET. DELHI'S ATTACK WAS INEXPERIENCD WIDOUT MCGRATH IN THEIR LINE UP. THEN CAME THE YOUNG PRADEEP SANGWAN PICKIN THE 1ST WICKET OF PARTHIV PATEL. THE TURNIN POINT OF THE MATCH WAS THE WICKET OF HAYDOS CAUGHT AT DEEP BY DIRK NANES. HE SCORD AN EXCELLNT 57 AND LAID THE FOUNDATION FOR CSK. BUT THEN IN CAME DANIEL VATTORI AND CHANGD THE COURSE OF THE MATCH WITH HIS CANNY LEFT ARM SPIN BOWLING.

THE END RESULT IS THAT CHENNAI LOST THE MATCH BY NINE RUNS. THE MAN OF THE MATCH UNDOUBTEDLY WAS de VILLIERS. DELHI HAVE A PERFECT RECORD OF WINNING 2 OUT OF 2. CHENNAI HAS LOST 2 OUT OF IYTS 3 MATCHES AND NEED TO REGROUP FASTER.


COMING TO THE SECOND MATCH OF THE DAY BETWEEN RAJASTHAN AND KOLKATTA.
THIS MATCH IS ALSO A CONTEST BETWEEN SHARUKH ND SHILPA.THE RAIN GODS DELAYD THE MATCH FOR HALF AN HOUR. THE TOSS WAS WON BY MCCULUM ND HE OPTED TO BOWL FIRST. THE RAJASTHAN ROYALS GOT OFF TO A SHAKY START BY LOSIN 2 WICKETS FOR 14 RUNS. ENTERED YUSUF PATHAN AND STARTED STRAIGHT AWAY WID A SIX OVER LONG ON OFF THE FIRST BALL. HE SCORED 42 OFF 21 BALLS. MENDIS STEMMED THE FLOW OF RUNS BY PICKIN 2 WICKETS IN THE SAME OVER. IN THE END RAJASTHAN POSTED A COMPETITIVE SCORE OF 150.

THE KNIGHTRIDERS OPENERS WERE IN FOR A SURPRISE AS YUSUF PATHAN STRTD THE INNINGS. THE FIRST 3 OVERS CONCEDED JUST 10 RUNS. THEN GAYLE LASHD THE BOWLERS ALL ROUND THE PARK. THIS MADE SHANE WARNE BRING HIMSELF TO BOWL AND PICKED THE WICKET OF IN FORM BATSMAN CHRIS GAYLE. THEN THE WICKETS STARTED TUMBLING LIKE NINEPINS WITH SOURAV GANGULY HOLDIN FORTRESS BY SCORIN 46. THE LAST OVER OF THE GAME NEEDED 7 RUNS FOR A KNIGHTRIDERS VICTORY. THE YOUNG KAMRAN KHAN BOWLED CLEVERLY CONCEEDIN JUST 6 RUNS AND THE MATCH WAS TIED!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT CAMEE NEXT WAS THE FIRST TIME IN IPL. A SUPER OVER!!!!!! WHICH TEAM SCORES MORE RUNS IN AN OVER CLINCHES THE GAME. FOR THE KNIGHTRIDERS IT WAS GAYLE WHOBATTED. HE BLUDGEONED15 RUNS IN AN OVER. RAJASTHAN NEEDED SIXTEEN TO WIN THE GAME. YUSUF PATHAN BATTED FR D ROYALS. HE WELCOMED MENDIS WITH A SIX OFF D FIRST BALL ND TO SUBSEQUENT HITS TO THE FENCE OF THE NEXT 2 BALLS MAKIN IT EASIER FOR THE ROYALS TO NOTCH UP THEIR FIRST WIN IN IPL THIS YEAR.

WHICHEVER TEAM WON OR LOST IT WAS CRICKET THAT WON YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello guys as it s my first post it myt nt b a gud 1. Lets strt wid d mtch. As all of u knoe atlast Pakistan ve got into d field afta d lahore fiasco... But dat doesnt make a difference. They strtd their campaign wid a thumping 4 wickets win. First up they restrictd d Aussies 2 a paltry 168. Kudos 2 shshid afridi(boom boom wid d bat oops sry wid d ball!!!) Then dey chased it dwn wid pretty ease
For Australia it was Haddin nd Watson gettin dem of 2 a gud strt(40 runs each) nd den Hopes takin d cue frm dem 2 score 48. The rest fell like nine pins. This match saw d return of 2 old stalwarts namely shoaib akthar nd andrew symonds. Both of dem failin miserably though.

Pakistan have d moment wid dem. It was a disastrous strt fr d Aussies. Stl 4 mre ODI's to go.... So keep ur fingers crossd.

IPL Season 2 : Day 5

Day 5 of the second edition of the Indian Premier League saw the battle of two teams that finished last and second-to-last in the first season. But it certainly didn't look that when the Royal Challengers Bangalore took on the Deccan Chargers in a heated match.

The Chargers went charging straight away after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Skipper Adam Gilchrist started middling the ball to all parts of the ground and even sent some of them to the spectators! His opening partner Herschelle Gibbs too joined it with some delightful strokes before his innings was cut short by some good comeback bowling by Praveen Kumar. Gilchrist however was in no mood to stop as he kept the fielders busy picking the balls off the boundary rope. Rohit Sharma joined Gilchrist when Laxman fell and the two of them put together a fine partnership of 61 of 36 balls. After Gilchrist (who scored 71) was dismissed of a good catch by Virat Kohli, it was Sharma's turn to take charge. He hit 5 sixes in his 30-ball 52 which pushed the Chargers' total up to 184-6 in 20 overs.

The Challengers got off to the worst possible start losing Ryder to the very first ball of the innings. The situation didn't look too good after the tactical timeout as they kept losing wickets after a few short partnerships. Rahul Dravid and Kohli injected life into the match with a fiery partnership that looked to keep them in the game. Dravid however, fell at a crucial point for a well-played 48. Kohli, got to his half-century, but the support from the other end was simply not enough as the Challengers had to settle for a total 24 runs behind. They managed 160-8 in their 20 overs.

Twenty-four runs looks like a pretty big margin, but it was a reasonably tight game in the end. The high scoring games are catching on and we're expecting a very thrilling IPL this season!

Home Minister Gets The Boot...Literally!

India's Home Minister P. Chidambaram had a shoe whiz past him during a press conference in New Delhi yesterday.

The shoe was thrown by Jarnail Singh, a journalist for the hindi daily Dainik Jagran. The shoe was thrown along with the words "I protest", when a question on the 1984 Sikh riots was being answered. The Home Minister however, chose to forgive him and did not file a case. The journalist was immediately taken away and said he regretted his action.

This in a way resembles the throwing of a shoe by an Iraqi journalist on George Bush, except that the Iraqi journalist flung it hard at Bush to hit him while Jarnail Singh just dropped it next to him as a mark of protest.

the challenge was that Leonardo was asked to excavate some water from ground without using any scientific experiment . this could not be done ! Poor leonaredo was suffering for 20 days on the open field trying to get some water !!!!



But after a long time of trying finnaly he had to give in !!! He was taken to the king . The king sentenced leonardo to death since he lost the challenge !!!!!!
